The Soccer Association of Montgomery is Montgomery County’s newest youth soccer club that offers soccer development programs, recreational programs and competitive leagues at the "classic" level. SAM programs work as building blocks to provide young players the fundamentals needed to prepare them for their next step into the exciting world of soccer.
SAM offers developmental programs for children ages 3-8 years old and a Recreation Program for players U7-U17 boys and girls.
The first two stages, Pre-Kicks (ages 3-4 yr. old) and Kickers (ages 5-8 yr. old), set the groundwork for young players by teaching them individual soccer skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and social skills.
Upon graduating from Pre-Kicks and Kickers, the players then take on the next challenge of Recreational level play. All soccer activities and games will be centralized at the Maryland SoccerPlex, giving all youth soccer players not only a chance to play on the SoccerPlex fields but also have access to instructional opportunities for both players and coaches.
Pre-Kicks, Kickers and the Recreation league prepares the players for the next step in the SAM program. All games and clinics will be held at the 19-field Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, MD.
SAM’s Developmental Programs
SAM’s Fall Recreational League kicks off in September. Registration is coming soon! Open to all players ages U7-U17.
