SAM Soccer is proud to announce that Juan Bernedo, Director of the Washington Freedom Soccer Club Activities, will serve as the 2009 SAM Summer Soccer Camp Director!
Bernedo has worked as a coach since 1992, serving as an individual skills instructor before coaching for Freedom Assistant Coach Clyde Watson’s Soccer Academy. He served as an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team at East Tennessee State University in 2003, and as assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams at Longwood University, where he helped guide the women to their first CVAC Tournament Championship in 2002.
Along with coaching, Bernedo has worked as a teacher in Virginia since 2003. Bernedo holds an NSCAA Coaching Academy National Diploma.

Camp Features
- All campers will receive a free ticket to the Washington Freedom match on July 29 vs Boston Breakers
- Freedom tickets will be mailed to those who have registered on or before July 24. If you register for camp between July 25 and kickoff on the 29th, your ticket will be at Will Call.
- Players grouped by age and ability
- Groups and teams are kept together
- Excellent player/coach ratio
- Washington Freedom players will be instructors at the camp
Who Can Attend
- Girls and boys ages 6-16 that have the desire to learn, work hard and have fun
Location
- Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown
- The SoccerPlex has 19 high-quality soccer fields and 3 synthetic turf fields
- In case of inclement weather, the complex can make use of its indoor arena, the Discovery Sports Center

- Full Day - 9:00am-4:00pm, $230
- Half Day - 9:00am-12:00pm, $140

If you submit a request to withdraw prior to the start of camp, you will receive a refund minus a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.
