THE SOCCER PARENTING ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES COACH LARRY YOUNG OF SAM SOCCER AS A FINALIST FOR THE SOCCER PARENTING 2019 COACH OF IMPACT AWARDS
The Soccer Parenting Association proudly announces Larry Young of SAM Soccer – Rockville, MD as the winner for the Soccer Parenting 2019 Coach of IMPACT Award, sponsored by TorrX Ball Pumps (TorrX.com). Nominations were received from youth soccer parents nationwide. Larry Young was chosen out of 10 Finalists from around the country.
The Soccer Parenting Coach of IMPACT Award is an opportunity for soccer parents to anonymously express gratitude to their child's coach by nominating them for an award that highlights the important work a coach does to IMPACT the lives of their players and families. A parent who nominated Larry Young said, “Mr. Larry Young welcomes new student-athletes and families onto each team and gets to know each individual for their true self. He always gives great advice and lets each player grow in their talents with more and more confidence. Mr. Young encourages kids to perform to the best of their abilities because he knows their worth. Every athlete has developed a bond full of trust and friendship with Coach Young. He has truly made an impact on the lives of players and families through his dedication and passion for coaching.”
Gary Wheeler, SAM Soccer Recreation Program Manager said, " With great pride and excitement, SAM Soccer is pleased to announce that "one of our own", Coach Larry Young, has been chosen by Soccer Parenting as its 2019 "Coach of Impact" award winner. After a national search and close to 200 nominations, Larry was chosen as one of the ten finalists and he was informed last week that he had won the award. Larry will receive a cash prize of $500 and a TorrX ball pump. All of us at SAM have known for several years what a special person Larry is and what a huge positive impact he has made on the players in his charge and our league. We couldn't be happier for Larry and his family now that the world knows as well.
